Taste of Lakewood

It was another beautiful weather day at the annual Taste of Lakewood this year! We took our place in the main dining room of the Clifton Club along with some great local restaurants and establishments like Deagan's, Buckeye Beer Engine, Pepper's, Gatherings, Pier W, The Greek Village and more. OH, Cakepops impressed me with cake on a stick and I ate a WONDERFUL pulled pork sandwich with grilled pineapple, sweet peppers and macadamia nuts from Jammy Buggars. The culinary students from Lakewood High School were very professional and served incredible carrot cake. Melt made fried twinkies outside and everyone enjoyed the nice weather outside. We saw some good friends and served a fennel and orange vegan summer salad and two kinds of bread pudding which everyone seemed to love. Guests gave us very positive feedback and we had a chance to talk to customers that shop all the time and some that were new to Nature's Bin. Several people told me that they were happy to have a vegan item to try and I encouraged them to come and see that at least half of what we serve will fit into a vegan diet, treats and everything!
